Real Estate Mediation in San Diego
Resolve Real Estate Disputes Without Going to Court
Real estate disputes are stressful, expensive, and slow when they end up in litigation or arbitration. Many real estate contracts require mediation before anyone can file a lawsuit. Mediation offers a faster, more cost-effective path to resolution, one where both parties keep control of the outcome.
Victoria Boynton, Senior Counsel at Hoffman Forde, serves as a neutral third-party mediator with deep expertise in California real estate law. She brings more than 20 years of experience advising brokerages, agents, buyers, and sellers, and she uses that knowledge to help parties reach agreements that hold up.

Real Estate Disputes Victoria Can Help Resolve
Mediation works for disputes that arise before, during, or after a transaction closes, and for disputes that arise under a real estate contract. Victoria can help resolve:
- Purchase and Sale Disputes
- Seller Non-Disclosure Claims
- Deposit Disputes
- Broker and Agent Disputes
- Landlord-Tenant Conflicts
- HOA Disputes
- Boundary and Easement Disputes
- Lease Disagreements
- Construction and Property Damage Claims
- Breach of Fiduciary Duty Disputes
Victoria has helped parties settle disputes that seemed far from resolution, including cases where neither side could see the other’s point of view.
What to Expect When You Mediate With Victoria
Mediation is a confidential process in which a neutral mediator guides a structured conversation between the parties. The mediator does not decide the outcome. The parties do. The goal is a voluntary, mutually acceptable resolution that avoids the cost and uncertainty of trial.
A Neutral, Informed Perspective
Victoria does not take sides. She mediates independently of Hoffman Forde’s legal representation and does not mediate matters in which the firm represents a party. After more than 20 years advising both sides of real estate transactions and disputes, she understands the positions each party is likely to hold and what it takes to move past them.
Confidential by Design
California law generally protects what is said in mediation. That lets both parties speak candidly and explore options they might not raise in a courtroom. What you tell the mediator privately is not shared with the other party without your consent.
Faster and Less Costly
Mediation can often be scheduled within weeks and resolved in hours or days, not months or years. It typically costs far less than litigation or arbitration.
You Control the Result
Unlike a judge or arbitrator, a mediator does not impose a decision. If both parties reach agreement, they sign a written settlement agreement that is binding once signed. If they cannot reach agreement, they remain free to pursue other options.
Victoria acts as a neutral mediator and does not provide legal advice to either party.
