Morgan Hezlep

Education and Experience

Ms. Hezlep earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.), cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2005. Additionally, she holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University and an A.S. in Healthcare Information Technology, all earned with honors. Her legal career commenced with a prestigious role as a prosecutor at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office in the criminal division. During her tenure, she successfully conducted over 40 jury trials, honing her trial advocacy skills, and gaining invaluable courtroom experience.

Transitioning to civil litigation, Ms. Hezlep has handled a multitude of cases, ranging from general civil disputes to complex business litigation. Notable achievements include securing settlements and verdicts in favor of her clients, including a significant recovery of over $2 million for an agricultural co-op in a dispute against a self-dealing board member. Additionally, she obtained a complete jury verdict for a California franchisor in a complex case, showcasing her proficiency in navigating intricate legal matters.

In the realm of probate law, Ms. Hezlep has distinguished herself by representing clients in litigations related to probate, intestate, and trust contests.
