Education and Experience
Alanna Haefner is a 2019 graduate of the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University and received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2015 in Journalism and in Political Science. During her undergraduate years, Ms. Haefner studied in Hong Kong and worked as a production assistant for an international news bureau in Washington, D.C. While earning her law degree, she returned to Southeast Asia to study in China and worked as a legal intern for the Honorable John McVay in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas and the Pennsylvania Innocence Project.
Ms. Haefner’s legal career commenced with a robust foundation in tax advisory, where she provided extensive planning and compliance services, as well as multi-state reviews to reduce audit assessments and identify multi-million dollar refund opportunities, for real estate, private equity, and corporate tax clients. She later transitioned to real estate law, where she has represents individuals and organizations in complex residential and commercial real estate disputes and transactions, providing legal analysis and risk management strategies.

Additional Information
Before moving to San Diego, Alanna was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is an avid traveler and amateur photographer who enjoys surfing, Pilates, and spending time with her family and rescue dogs, Kona and Rue.
